Final Community Service self - Reflection

self-reflection

1-organization

I am going to talk about my volunteering in YAS Marina Circuit,it is located in YAS island ,it was before two weeks .we volunteered for the F1,we organized the event for the F1 There. This was a new experience in our life as volunteers, and in this field. Our work is for a limited period of time and therefore, we were able to acknowledge beneficial tips and practice.

2-best part

The first thing that helped us go through everything, the ups and downs was our teacher and the group. Working together as a group is not only helping each other, but also gaining skills without realizing, and exchanging of ideas and opinions. We gained experience throughout the teamwork, therefore; it's useful for us in the future.

3-support the community

of course, in every situation there is a positive and a negative side. This is going to be the contrary side; due to the problems that we faced in the volunteer work, was a bit of our least expectations, but we faced them and solved it as a group.

volunteering is an important activity every person should embrace as they are growing up. Doing volunteering allows the person to find themself and be exposed to the lifestyles of other people, which also tends to make the volunteer more aware of the needs of the less fortunate.

4-all I learned

Volunteering also contributes to the result of more teenagers being more grateful for everything they have and thus they give more.Volunteer work was a great way to contribute and deliver the best of the community service and helping others, and a sense of bonding with those around us that makes us be prepared for later on. This year I wish I had done more community service than i had done more community service than i had done. I regret not following through with the opportunities I was given.

23 Nov 2014

On the final day of YAS racing which is also the last day for our volunteer work at YAS circuit. There was a big audience and since the place was crowded with people it was very difficult moving around. Later on we gathered as a group ( all five members included ) and each group member was given their task to do by Khalid.

During our volunteery work,  we significantly benefited from this experience as a group and as individuals . We gained communication and interactive skills by working together as a group and interacting with others ( outsiders/clients) . We learnt how to benefit our selves and the society. Volunteering is a positive way to give back to the society and feel connected with those around us . Doing these kinds of volunteery work keeps a person with a positive mind and feeling of happiness ( internally) it's a valuable - priceless feeling

We hope that we didn't disappoint anyone in what we have put effort in, thus we did our best and all what we are able to do, to make this event a successful and enjoyable week for the people

22 NOV 2014

The forth day of the festival was the day for the formula racing opening and thousands of fans from around the world visited the ceremony , As well as the prestigious people and shiekhs to join us for the opening ceremony of 2014 formula racing. Our part was hard at the beginning of the ceremony, due to having lots of fans that joined, everyone had a role. Therefore my part was to lead the visitors to the car park location.

20 Nov 2014

On the second day to Yas Arena we had a very long day. We arrived to Yas circuit  at 4 pm, and met with our supervisor of the day, he gave us instructions and procedures to follow. The other responsibilities that was given to us was organizing the buses maneuver, and the guidance of our visitors to their assigned seats. We must arrange everything so that this day will be organized. Our goal to Yas circuit is attracting more visitors, and this event took most of our time organizing, and had us running around everywhere. In my point o
f view this organization taught us responsibilities. and finally, the preparations for the Championship of F1and our job in this event was a success

UNICEF especially concentrates on helping children in specifically tough situation, such as orphans and children who live in areas of war or poverty.

In UNICEF

Have a look at this page on the internet: http://www.worldvolunteerweb.org/browse/sectors/education.html

This page has some ideas about how people can volunteer through education projects.

Once you have read through the pages, you need to work in groups of 4 or 5.

In your groups, come up with a project which you think can be advanced through an educational setting. There are no restrictions, but your idea should be innovative and should aim at adding real value to the people you are trying to help.

As you are working through your project, one of you should be putting together a short presentation (Powerpoint, etc) to explain to the rest of the group what you are trying to achieve.

You should aim to cover the following points, at least.

What are the aims of the project

Building houses and shelters, providing water and food for the evacuated people from Lebanon And provide medical aid to them

Who are the target audience, and why?
The Lebnanes who moved from Lebanon because of the war.
What activities would your project involve?
assisting thousands of evacuees and providing water, food and first aid services to those who need it. They are helping transport people to temporary shelter locations, registering beneficiaries, and providing logistical support to relief convoys moving towards the border with Lebanon
Who would be volunteering? Why?
everybody , because They need any form of assistance that make them live in comfort because of the problems that occur to them. We should collect donations and set up charities

to get as more many to help them in any ways
What are the benefits your project could bring to the target audience?
our project helping by providing humanitarian aid to refugees and support efforts to protect a generation of Syrian children from a life of despair, diminished opportunities and broken futures.
How would you look into launching your project with reference to the relevant authorities in the UAE and in the country you have targeted?
There are a lot of charities such as the Red Crescent will help us in this project to travel and everything starting with the instruction until we got there and finish our project

What problems do you think you might come across and how would you try to get around them?
I think there are many problems that will stand in our face. The difficulty of traveling to that country and conditions there are not good becuse it is not safe

You should aim at one or two of your group making a 4-6 minute presentation to the rest of the group explaining your findings.
